1. Investigators 

CCG employs two different kinds of investigators:

• a) Ghoul investigators: employed at CCG's main office, carry out the actual investigations and capture suspects. They are often assigned to carry out investigations in one of Tokyo's wards. Only ghoul investigators are permitted to be armed with quinques (relic).

• b) Bureau investigators: Deal mostly with paperwork and back up ghoul investigators when necessary. Most of them are employed at CCG's branch offices. They are armed with firearms loaded with Q bullets

2. Ghoul Scientists 

​

Ghoul scientists are employed to do experiments on the ghouls ; creating samples to create certain types of clones which later can be used to capture weaker ghouls as well as to study in order to acquire deep knowledge of ghouls' special abilities/biology/physique.

3. Ghoul Doctors

​

Ghoul Doctors are in charge of performing surgery on the captured ghouls, much like forensic pathology that focuses on determining the cause of death or injuries by examining the body of a ghoul. Surgeries are done during investigation of criminal (murder) cases which involves the activities of ghoul hunting. In special cases, ghoul doctors are also able to create artificial one-eyed ghouls by switching organs of a dead ghoul with a normal human.

4. Relic Engineers

​

Since the investigators as humans lack the physique, stamina, and strength to manually handle ghouls in combat, they are compelled to use tactical, man-made weapons. Only ghoul investigators are permitted to be armed with quinques (relic), the most effective weapons against ghouls made from a ghoul's kakuhou. Additionally, they are sometimes armed with firearms loaded with Q bullets ammunition. Relic Engineers have the ability to create quinques, it is is a weapon manufactured from a ghoul's kakuhou used by CCG ghoul investigators.
